Head’s Welcome

 “Inspiring, Nuturing, Caring”

Welcome to Hartest Church of England Primary School

On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors, I would like to welcome you to Hartest Church of England Primary School’s website.  I hope that your visit to our website is informative and gives you an insight into the learning that takes place in our school and the values and vision which underpin it.

Our aim at Hartest is for your child to be happy and secure in our small, nurturing environment, gaining the best possible education whilst continuing to develop both personally and socially.

At Hartest we firmly believe that education is a partnership between home and school.  We place great emphasis on our partnership with parents and carers and believe that children work best when home and school work together.  We are proud of or our strong family atmosphere and the supportive parental and community involvement that we receive.

Our school provides a hardworking, happy, well-disciplined environment with skilled staff, dedicated governors, high standards and happy children.  The building is set within a large green play area that is open to the village during weekends and holidays.  We also have our own Forest School on site which all our children are able to use.  Adjacent to our school is Hartest Pre-School.  Our school is situated near the centre of the village and has strong links with the local community and surrounding schools.

All schools are very different and choosing a school for your child is an important decision.  I hope that you find the information on this website helpful.  We would be very pleased to welcome you on a visit to school, whether you are seeking a place for your child in Reception or if you are looking for a place for an older child.

We look forward to meeting you.

Yours sincerely,

Amanda Woolmer                                                     Matt Vale-Smith
