Welcome to Hedgehog Class!
Our Teacher is Miss Burroughs.
We are supported in our learning by Mrs McGeary, Mrs Moore and Mrs Cook.
To learn more about what we like to do in Hedgehog Class, take a look at some of the activities below.
Forest School sessionsÂ
- The children used the forest school resources to build their own castle. They used their prior knowledge to create a class castle.
- The children have access to real tools and they are encouraged to use them independently.
- The children really enjoyed creating their mudslide. They worked together to help each other climb back up.
- The children use the mud kitchen to develop their imagination.
- At the beginning of every Forest School session, the children share their Forest School name and a Forest School rule.
- The children demonstrate excellent team work.
- The children have the freedom to explore the natural environment by digging, building, observing.
- Hedgehog Class Castle. Complete with towers, arrow slits and thick walls.
- Independence is promoted in Forest School.
- In every Forest School session, the children enjoy a drink and snack.
- The children create crafts whilst in Forest School.
- Enjoying a Hot Cross Bun toasted on the fire and a warm hot chocolate.

World Oceans Day 2023
- The children were challenged to recycle the different items into the correct bins.
- We practised our surfing skills.
- We warmed our bodies up to practise our surfing skills.
- The children used various tools to remove coral and animals from the ice.
- There was a lot of plastic rubbish in the water tray today. The children were tasked with saving the animals from the plastic.
- The boat had an oil spill! The children worked together to try and remove the oil from the water to protect the marine animals.
